Founded in 2006 by Robert Williamson and Donovan Kobrowisky, RD Joinery specializes in a variety of works in the vast scope that falls under “shopfitting”.

Built upon the foundation of a long-standing friendship stretching as far back as the 90’s, a shared interest in woodwork drove our proprietors towards the study, apprenticeship and practical implementation of this trade which they pursued side-by-side. Such a companionship naturally developed into a business plan and gave birth to Robert Donovan Joinery.

RD Joinery offers services from manufacturing to fitting and maintenance in residential, retail and corporate environments throughout South Africa. From floor to ceiling we fit your space with cabinetry, furnishings and accessories to perform any practical or aesthetic function.

Based in the East Rand of Johannesburg in the industrial area of Sebenza, meaning “work” or in broader terms “working together”, we are within close reach of many of our suppliers allowing for a prompt and competitive response on completing our projects. We always keep the client in mind with costing and find the best suitable solutions and materials to suit the budget while delivering quality workmanship and A-grade results.

The self-proclaimed artist, smart-ass and backbone of RDJ lurking in the background of factory operations. Tinique is a self-taught sponge for information which has gained her an unquantifiable wealth of knowledge in the industry after being thrown in the deep-end head-first. From admin and PA to buyer, stores manager, IT boff, creative and general know-it-all, she is the grease between the cogs that keeps the RD Joinery machine ticking so the guys can do what they do best, get the job done.
